postheadericon Lemon Pepper Chicken Wings

Here is another great recipe that is also great for game day as well. Usually we would go out to get wings from our favorite wing places, but end up paying so much more money for just a few wings. Guys, we are in a recession and don’t have money to waste, so I learned how to make them myself. So I am proud to share with you this great recipe to have game day celebrated at the house.

Ingredients:

Chicken Drummettes and Wings
Canola Oil
Olive Oil
Lemon Pepper Seasoning

Directions:

1. Take your chicken wing pieces and place them on a plate with a paper towel below them. Place another paper towel on top of then and pat to drt the wings as much as possible. I usually fry a batch of 10 at a time.

2.  Heat three cups of  canola oil in a 3 quart pot to 360 degrees. I used a candy thermometer to check the temperature.

3. Cook wings till golden brown for about 10-12 minutes. Put the wings in one by one and make sure that they don’t crowd each other. You may need to periodically check them to make sure they aren’t sticking to one another.

4. Once wings are done cooking, strain the grease from them. I use a strainer on top of a 2 quart pot with a paper towel at the bottom to catch the grease.

 5. While the chicken is straining, in a bowl combine 1 TBS of Olive Oil and 2 TSP of Lemon Pepper Seasoning and mix together with a spoon. Once mixed, put the chicken wings in and toss to coat them evenly.

6. Then Eat and Enjoy!!
